We headed to the Ring of Kerry midwinter on a whim and without making any accommodation plans. We stumbled across Tobervilla Guest House early evening on a cold wet night and it was as if the most perfect accommodation imaginable had been placed there just for us. Beautifully renovated premises and well appointed rooms. Melissa was the perfect host and a talented cook. Breakfast saw us through the day. I can’t rate Tobervilla high enough.

A nicely renovated old hotel in a beautiful setting, a few minutes from the ocean. The apartment was very cosy, with lovely wallpaper and a very comfortable bed.
Melissa the owner kindly told us about the history of the hotel while we had a wonderful breakfast. The place has a lounge area with antique furniture, ideal for groups.

My family and I along with parents visiting from India stayed at Tobervilla for one night on 1st of June 2024. It’s a newly renovated place and so everything was crisp and fresh. The rooms are big and spacious with great views and offers plenty of scope for long walks, hikes etc. The property as such is simple but tastefully done with furniture sourced from various places. Even the kitchen and its cutlery were beautiful and well set. Michael and Melissa have worked very hard to set the place up. The place is rich in history and even Charlie Chaplin stayed there during his visit. There is sheep roaming around in morning which gives a farm feel.
There is definitely scope of improvement ( signboard, flowers and garden, drinking water in rooms, more emphasis on the history of the place etc.), I am confident Michael and Melissa will take care of all needs and step up with time. Wish the couple very best. Merin& Bosco

Très beau gîte, décoré avec goût dans les moindres détails. La chambre est très confortable et bien équipée.
Les propriétaires sont discrets, extrêmement accueillants et proactifs. Ils ont su s’adapter à nos besoins (voyage à vélo). On se sent tout de suite très bien.
Le petit déjeuner à la carte était excellent, copieux, dans un cadre très agréable.
Nous avons adoré notre passage ici !

I never want to leave! Amazing location, newly renovated (my wife has some health issues and my sinus’ are super sensitive and we slept without a problem!), hair dryer, strong water pressure for the shower, kettle/blow dryer/coffee, bar, lounge, hot tub, outdoor space all amazing. The owner did everything 100% perfectly. There’s also a few nice bars all within 10mins. Oh and the breakfast was made by a professional! 10000/10

I stayed here with my partner for 3 nights off season in early November. It was a last minute getaway for a few days, and it was a most beautiful house in a beautiful location. The hosts Micheal and Melissa were lovely.. extremely welcoming and they went out of their way to provide every comfort for us.. including providing wonderful home cooked breakfast.
I really couldn’t recommend more highly this wonderful guesthouse and wonderful hosts.

Just back from our stay at Tobervilla house. As a family of 4 we had a gorgeous spacious apartment with a balcony (views to die for) Enjoyed a soak in the hot-tub at sundown and checked out this morning after a mouth watering breakfast cooked to order! We were lucky to have the whole building to ourselves so not sure how it would be when at full capacity.However the host, Melissa was very nice and friendly, we really felt welcomed, the hot tub was amazing on a cold dreary Kerry day.The apartment with the mountain view was amazing, the whole place has been restored beautifully.There is a fully equipped kitchen and cosy lounge area.Would definitely stay here again!

This place is a slice of heaven! Michael & Melissa run this beautiful boutique hotel. We had an amazing afternoon tea – all home baked by Melissa – for 6 people just before Christmas. Michael kindly gave us a tour of the hotel – every room is slightly different and each one is beautifully decorated. We had the lounge to ourselves and it felt like such a treat. I highly recommend trying this out.

Our apartment with a mountain view was simply stunning, and the entire place has been beautifully restored. The layout is great, with the bedroom tucked away from the main entrance, giving us complete privacy. The bed was extra comfy and huge, making for a perfect night’s sleep. The bathroom was just as impressive, featuring a freestanding bath and a spacious shower.The fully equipped kitchen and cosy lounge made our stay even more comfortable. Melissa, the host, was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The hot tub was a dream on a cold, rainy Kerry day!We were lucky to have the whole building to ourselves, so we’re not sure how it feels at full capacity. However, the peaceful setting makes it a perfect spot for a romantic getaway in the stunning Ring of Kerry.A big thanks to Melissa for her hospitality! We would definitely stay here again for our anniversary next year.

Gutes, ruhiges B&B mit freundlichem Personal, super Frühstück und Wohlfühloase 😀 – Schönes großes Zimmer, bequemes Bett, großes Bad Super freundliche Gastgeber, die einem alles zeigten und wirklich sehr bemüht waren Der Hit der geheizte Whirlpool im Garten, eine richtige Wohlfühl-Oase Tolles Frühstück Parkplatz direkt beim Haus. Haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt, würden jederzeit wieder kommen. 😞 – Kleiner Kühlschrank, Klimaanlage oder Ventilator sowie Fliegengitter vor einem Fenster wäre super. Wie fast überall, uns sind die Kopfkissen zu dick, zu hoch. Ansonsten alles in bester Ordnung.

Wohlfühlaufenthalt bei bestens aufgelegten und emphatischen Gastgebern in sauberer und gemütlicher Umgebung. 😀 – Sehr freundliche Gastgeber, die auf die Wünsche ihrer Gäste eingehen. Sehr saubere Unterkunft und ein tolles personalisiertes Frühstücken in familiärer Atmosphäre. Die Gastgeber haben uns in einer Notsituation unkompliziert und emphatisch geholfen und wollten nicht mal etwas dafür! Im Tobervilla Guest House können große Hotels noch etwas lernen: Echte Gastfreundschaft und TOP-Service, wo nicht nur der Mund lächelt sondern auch die Augen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage der Villa ist bestens, für unsere Zwecke ausgezeichnet. 😞 – „Nicht gefallen“ trifft es nicht, da es übertrieben wäre. Verbessern würden Ablageflächen, z. B. Stühle im Room 2 (für die vielen Klamotten, die wir so auf Reisen mitführen/ Kofferablage). Aber das ist „Jammern auf hohem Niveau“ unsererseits. Die Unterkunft ist KLASSE.

Sehr schönes Haus liebevoll eingerichtet und renoviert, super nette Gastgeber gutes Frühstück.Das einzige was man bemängeln kann ist das die Zimmer extrem hellhörig sind.

Heerlijk verblijf aan Ring of Kerry! 😀 – Dit is echt een aanrader als je een verblijf zoekt aan de Ring of Kerry. De B&B is nog redelijk nieuw en wordt gerund door een super vriendelijke familie. Onze kamer was erg ruim, het bed groot en fijn en 2 goede kussens. Badkamer is klein, maar fijn. Ontbijt is prima en wordt met liefde klaargemaakt. Buiten is er zelfs een jacuzzi en meer dan genoeg parkeerplek. 😞 – Eigenlijk niets. Alles is schoon en fris. Alleen een extra handdoeken rek en plankje voor toiletspullen in badkamer zou handig zijn.

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt 🙂 😀 – Bei der Ankunft hatten wir bemerkt, dass das gebuchte Zimmer für unsere anspruchsvollen Ruhebedürfnisse etwas zu laut war. Dies soll kein Vorwurf an die Gastgeber sein, aber ein Hinweis, das bei der Buchung anzugeben. Der Umzug in ein kleineres Zimmer, das vom Platz für uns perfekt war, war kein Problem und wir haben traumhaft ruhig geschlafen. Was die Freundlichkeit angeht, ist die Chefin unschlagbar. Sie war sehr aufmerksam, hatte immer ein offenes Ohr und war sehr hilfsbereit. Beim Frühstück wurde von ihr und der reizenden Köchin jeder Wunsch erfüllt und sehr aufmerksam aufgepasst, dass auch ganz bestimmt alles passt. Die Renovierungen am und im Haus sind abgeschlossen und sehr gelungen. Zimmer und Bad waren makellos sauber und eine notwendige, kleine Reparatur wurde ganz selbstverständlich erledigt. Unschlagbar 😞 – Der Hausherr ist etwas brummelig und gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber nach dem Check In hatten wir nichts mehr mit ihm zu tun, deshalb auch kein Punktabzug.

Wonderful, welcoming newly renovated Inn 😀 – The place was really nice, well beyond what I expected. It’s fully renovated and very nice and comfortable and clean. The room was great and so was the bathroom. The bed slept very well. The owners were very helpful and the breakfast was wonderful. I can’t say how enough pleasant and comfortable my stay was! 😞 – Everything was great.

Exceptional 😀 – Absolutely loved this accommodation, it was last minute and wished we stayed longer! The history of this place and the fantastic careful renovations is fabulous! The outdoor spa and amazing breakfast loved it. A great host too!! 😞 – Not much we didn’t like, need a car as it is on property out of town, however a quick drive to The Blind Piper pub and restaurant for a fabulous dinner was worth it. We want to go back to do some of the walks around County of Kerry.
